Civil Services: Analysis(Paper-I)
It is high
time for the candidate preparing for Civil Services Examination 2015. In the
last movement, analysis of Civil Services Examination Paper-I may be helpful
for final touch to your preparation.
- In 2014,
difficulty level of question become high as compared to before.
- Before going
to the analysis, lets categorize the questions of Paper-I :
History & Culture

- From the
above table, it is clear that strategy of focusing Contemporary
section is not going to help any more.
- If we talk
about the History & Culture section, 12 questions were asked from culture
and 8 questions were asked from history. However about 6 questions of history
were from Modern India and only 1-1 question was asked from ancient and medical
India.
- 11 questions
of science were asked from biology and only 2 questions may be related to
physics.
- 7 questions
of political science were asked from Indian Constitution and almost all were
related to the Articles if Indian Constitution. 7 questions were asked from procedural
subject for testing the analytical ability of candidate
- Most of the
questions of geography were asked from Indian Geography. In account of world geography
only 1 or 2 question may be placed.
- If we talk
about the nature of questions then there were about 20 to 25 questions which
may be placed in easy level category and may be attempted by almost all
candidate.
- There were
35 to 40 questions which may be placed in hard level category and are
responsible for success or failure of the candidate.
